Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for a number of years. Her mother raised her in the USA she was subject to many racial slurs that made her feel being unwanted. In her 9th grade when she began to gain confidence following her acclaim in an audition. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but also changed the direction she pursued in her career. She graduated from the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her role as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater fame. Also, she is a well-known artist and produced an extended show. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
